Parents and citizens' association

Welcome to the Mount Riverview Public School Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)! We're thrilled to have you here as part of our vibrant school community. The P&C plays a crucial role in supporting our school and enhancing the educational experience of our students.

At the forefront of our efforts, we manage essential services such as the canteen and second-hand uniform shop, ensuring a seamless experience for students and parents alike. Additionally, we oversee the relationship with our online uniform shop, making it easier for families to access school uniform.

Fundraising is a cornerstone of our work, enabling us to provide additional resources and facilities for the school. From laptops and iPads to play equipment and reading materials, every contribution directly impacts the learning environment of our students.

Joining the P&C is simple and incredibly rewarding. For just 50 cents, you become a valued member for a year, gaining the opportunity to participate in our Annual General Meeting and have your voice heard in decision-making processes.

But why should you join? Well, apart from the satisfaction of making a difference, being a member allows you to stay informed about school happenings, connect with other parents, and contribute fresh ideas to our vibrant community.

Our commitment extends beyond fundraising. We actively promote collaboration between parents, citizens, students, and staff, working together to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. From assisting with curriculum matters to organising engaging events, the P&C is here to support our school in every way possible.

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events, from welcome barbecues to Disco’s and fundraising drives, creating opportunities for families to come together and celebrate our school spirit.

Our past contributions speak volumes about our dedication to improving our school environment. From shade sails to outdoor learning spaces and educational resources, we take pride in the positive impact we've made.

Ready to join us? Fantastic! Membership fees are due in November at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), or can be paid any time via Qkr.

All executive positions in the P&C are declared vacant at the AGM, which is held on the second Tuesday in November.

The P&C meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 8pm at the Glenbrook Panthers Bowling Club 1 Hare St, Glenbrook (excluding school holidays/public holidays) and meetings run for approximately 1 hour.If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our friendly committee members listed below.

Caring for students

Mount Riverview Public School is a very welcoming and friendly school.

Our peer support program is designed to reinforce the community of the school. In Term 1, Year 6 attend a leadership day for personal development. This is followed later in the year by peer support sessions where groups of children, mixed across the whole school, are led by a Year 6 leader and a Year 5 co-leader, and participate in team activities.

Year 6 are also buddies for our Kindergarten students, spending time with Kindergarten throughout the year, sometimes helping them with activities, or hearing them read.
