Science and technology is mandatory for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In science and technology, students explore the natural and made worlds. They learn how to apply scientific and technological skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of contexts.
Science provides a way of inquiring about the world around us. It explores evidence and investigates ways to discover, develop and produce solutions to real world problems. The inquiry and skill-based nature of science opens doors to ideas and discoveries.
Technology labs
Each class has a dedicated hour each week with our LAB teacher, where learning is focused on the teachnology components of the Science and English syllabus. The lab is also available for classes to book at other times for additional technology work and for online assessments.
Classroom Technology
Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard, allowing teachers to extend their teaching and learning programs by easily accessing the Internet and a range of computer technology tools. The school also has banks of MacBooks and iPads for use in classrooms.
